Rashid Maqbool

Dr Rashid Maqbool is a globally recognised scholar in the Construction Engineering and Management whose work sits at the forefront of sustainable construction, digital transformation, and sustainable urban development. An Assist Professor at The University of Manchester, he brings a distinguished international academic record shaped by appointments and fellowships across world leading institutions, including Tsinghua University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Dr Maqbool’s research portfolio spans sustainable and smart built environments, construction project management, renewable energy projects, AI enabled project analytics, and circular economy–driven construction practices. He has produced an extensive body of work published in top ranked SCI/SSCI journals such as Sustainable Development, Journal of Cleaner Production, Project Management Journal, Science of the Total Environment, and Energy.
