Victor Mr Oshodi
Victor Oshodi is an international business and technology consultant, policy strategist, and the Country Director of AAAI–Nigeria, where he leads initiatives on AI safety, ethics, and governance. He has drafted Nigeria’s first AI Safety & Ethics Policy Framework for the education sector and coordinated the Global Call for AI Red Lines, announced at the UN General Assembly by Nobel Laureate Maria Ressa.
Victor has organized large-scale training programs, including the education of 1,350 students in Lagos State on AI safety, ethics, and machine learning, and regularly contributes to global forums such as the AI Action Summit, AU and UN AI safety events, and academic conferences including the Alan Turing Institute International Conference on Trustworthy Digital Infrastructure 2025 and the Scenarios Forum 2025 at the University of Leeds.
Beyond AI, he has worked with international organizations, governments, and businesses to foster partnerships in trade, technology, and sustainable development. His policy and research contributions include From Burden to Balance: Rethinking Africa’s Debt Strategy for Sustainable Growth through a Continental Futures Market, presented at the AU Debt Management Conference in Lomé, Togo.
Victor also serves as a Trustee at Lafi Burkina, a UK-based charity supporting the physically challenged in Burkina Faso, and founded Eko-Friendly, a platform advocating for clean environments and climate awareness. His long-term mission is to help ensure AI and emerging technologies are harnessed responsibly to advance human well-being, equity, and sustainable development across Africa and globally.
