Muthukumar Maragathamayil
Muthukumar is pursuing his PhD in Built Environment at RMIT University School of Property, Construction and Project Management. His research aims to investigate the relationship between indoor and outdoor conditions, dwelling airtightness, type of heating and cooking appliance, occupant behaviours and future climates on indoor air quality in dwellings using a mixed methods approach involving semi-structured interviews, field measurements of indoor and outdoor PM2.5 and NO2 and coupled IAQ-Energy simulations.
Muthukumar is an experienced mechanical building services engineer with over 7 years of experience in the design, installation, testing and commisioning of mechanical building services in residential, commercial and defence projects. He has keen interest in energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality in buildings.
