Fida Isam A.Elhafiz
My name is Fida Isam. I’m a part-time PhD student and a full-time Instructor in the Department of Architecture and Design . I hold a Master’s degree in Engineering Project Management, and my academic and professional journey is centered on advancing sustainability in the built environment.
My main research interests focus on biophilic design, food security, and vertical farming, with a particular emphasis on creating climate-responsive and human-centric architectural typologies for hot-arid cities. I also explore 3D printing as a sustainable construction approach, and I’m actively engaged in education research to enhance teaching and learning in architecture and design.
As an educator, I’m passionate about bridging theory with practice—through design studios, hands-on learning, and collaborations that connect students to real-world sustainability challenges. My goal is to contribute to shaping future-ready, environmentally responsible, and human-centered built environments.
