Thibaut MENNY World Sustainable Built Environment Conference 2026

Thibaut MENNY

Mr. Thibaut MENNY is a doctoral student in the Chair of Circular Engineering for Architecture (CEA) as part of the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geomatic Engineering (D-BAUG) at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich (ETHZ), Switzerland. Thibaut's background lies in architecture and sustainable strategies for the built environment. Before starting his Ph.D., he ran his independent architectural practice and led a study office in the innovation industry. He is conducting action research in collaboration with two French companies: CERIB (Studies&Research Center for Concrete Industry) and one of its subsidiaries, Agyre (a French national referent for circular economy in the construction sector). His research focuses on digitalization towards a circular built environment, with a particular target on developing a phygital platform for implementing circular markets in the built environment, improving communication between circular supply chain actors, and managing information flow in circular building processes. This work aims to reduce material waste, improve the end-of-life cycle for construction materials, and bridge the gap between academia and industry by co-developing innovative solutions that enable more sustainable practices.
