Dr Anne Gibbs is the Chief Executive Officer of the Asset Management Council, a Technical Society of Engineers Australia, with members who are working to improve society and empower sustainable communities through asset management. She has infrastructure management expertise used to assist communities improve their quality of life. Anne has worked with a diverse range of communities in both developing and developed nations to find solutions for aging water and waste assets, transport and social infrastructure assets in countries from UK, Denmark to Russia. She has managed the transition of a water authority in Argentina, municipal engineering for remote and urban communities across Australia and has undertaken humanitarian engineering assignments in Tanzanian refugee camps, as a first responder to an Indonesian earthquake zone and capacity building in East Timor municipalities. Anne provides ongoing technical and managerial expertise to the CDRI Secretariat based in India, as a Disaster Resilient Infrastructure Project Expert. She holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with High Distinction from RMIT, a Graduate Diploma in Municipal Engineering and Management, a Masters in Business Administration and a Doctorate in Business Administration.
