Alice Bui

Dr Alice Bui is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Design & Creative Technologies at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). Originally from Vietnam, a country significantly affected by climate change, she is passionate about sustainability and committed to addressing the environmental challenges facing communities worldwide. Her work focuses on mitigating the impacts of climate change and advancing sustainable development outcomes. Her research interests include climate change, net-zero carbon buildings, life cycle assessment (LCA), and circular economy in the built environment. Alice brings extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience in sustainability strategies, policies, and practices relevant to the built environment. She has a proven track record in developing innovative decarbonisation solutions and decision-support mechanisms that support organisations in their transition toward a net-zero carbon future. She continues to collaborate actively with stakeholders across academia, industry, and government to promote forward-thinking approaches to decarbonisation, circular economy, and sustainable development.
