Isamu Dr． Ohta

Isamu Ohta is the COO of Misawa Homes Institute of Research and Development Co., Ltd. I started my career developing energy-efficient buildings, such as ZEHs and ZEBs in the early 1990s. As most of the houses that our company currently builds in Japan are ZEHs, I am shifting my focus towards realising ZECs (Zero Energy Communities). Furthermore, we are expanding our business to Australia and the USA. The differences in culture, climate and natural resources in these countries provide us with an opportunity to consider how we can shape the future of our world under different conditions.
